We are seeking talented and a determined Sr. Healthcare Architect for our Philadelphia, Hamilton, or Springfield office. Sr. Healthcare Architects have exciting opportunities to work on both local and national projects while gaining valuable client facing experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently evaluates, selects and applies architectural techniques, procedures, and modifications.
  • Responsible to develop approaches to achieving specified objectives including the investigation of many variables.
  • Performs architectural assignments after receiving general instructions and project scope from the Project Manager.
  • Works directly with Project Manager to select and recommend procedures.
  • Develops preliminary designs.
  • May supervise Architectural Designers and Project Coordinators.
  • Must understand all codes and be able to produce a complete set of construction documents including written specifications.
  • Responsible for coordination with outside consultants including engineers.
  • Coordinates construction administration with construction managers/administrators and reviews shop drawings
  • Runs and coordinates job meetings assuring that all meeting tasks are assigned and completed.
  • May assist Project Manager(s) with preparation of cost and quality estimates.
  • May be requested to attend networking functions and assist Team Leaders in acquiring new business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Skill Sets:

  • 10+ years of experience functioning in a lead role on healthcare projects including but not limited to medical office, imaging, ED, inpatient/outpatient, patient services, surgery-centers, medical and master planning, etc.
  • Possess a strong understanding of healthcare codes.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in architecture or interiors from an accredited college/university
  • Professional architectural registration/license preferred
  • Must have strong design portfolio
  • Ability to delegate tasks appropriately
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
  • Working knowledge of all consultant work to maintain efficiencies and meet deadlines.
  • Possess an in depth understanding of the basics of most building systems
  • Working knowledge of all applicable codes/regulations, standards and building construction
  • General knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM/Revit and Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
  • LEED accreditation and EDAC certification preferred
