Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Manager (TCM) with proven expertise in both ITAR and EAR regulations . The TCM will be responsible for managing export authorization requests and ensuring compliant implementation of those authorizations across the business. The role includes providing functional training, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and submit import/export licenses (e.g., DSP-5, DSP-61, DSP-73, BIS 748), general correspondence, and advisory opinions to the appropriate regulatory agencies (State and Commerce Departments).
• Record and track usage of import/export licenses to ensure ongoing compliance with license conditions.
• Review, classify, and approve documents containing technology or technical information.
• Review foreign national visit requests to prevent unauthorized access to controlled commodities.
• Provide guidance to business functions regarding export shipments and other trade compliance matters.
• Classify products, software, and technical data accurately under ITAR, EAR, and HTS, and determine export/import control requirements.
• Ensure proper filing of Electronic Export Information via ACE (AES submissions), and determine exemptions when applicable.
• Maintain import/export documentation in compliance with U.S. Government regulations and internal recordkeeping policies.
• Conduct export/import control training sessions across departments to promote compliance awareness.
• Support other trade compliance projects such as disclosures, contract reviews, and new site implementations as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined under U.S. export control regulations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an import/export compliance role.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and FTR regulations.
• Strong experience in determining commodity jurisdiction and classifications (ITAR, EAR, HTS, ECCN, USML, Schedule B).
• Proficiency in ACE , SNAP-R , and D-TRADE systems.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Licensed Customs Broker certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
