HIRING: Senior / Lead Back End Node.js Developer | Public Company, ~1 Million Product Users

This client is a mission-driven media company, with nearly 100 million in yearly revenue, a strong global presence, and 200+ employees. They have been in business for over 35 years offering stability as well as significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE AND DAY-TO-DAY :

The person hired for this role will bring a strong background as a Senior Level Full Stack (Back End Focused) Javascript / Node.js Developer . You utilize a fairly Contemporary Tech Stack and work with a Senior, mature, no BS team ...

If hired for this role, you will probably spend the first 3-6 months just learning the codebase, getting comfortable around the ecosystem and just understanding the nuances of how they work. From there, as you begin to find success and take ownership of projects yourself, you will probably take on 1 of 3 bigger initiatives that they are currently working on right now. Your day-to-day will likely including about 70% - project / Development work (i.e. design, develop, test, release) and maybe 10% - observability, 5% - production support / troubleshooting, and another 5% supporting customer inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS :

My client is looking for folks who bring the following to the table:

• 7+ years of professional application software development experience
• Deep back end focused experience working with Node.js and testing at all phases (including unit and integration tests)
• Extensive Relational Database Experience (e.g PostgreSQL and Sequelize ORM)
• Experience working with a company with annual revenue > $50mm, and a product with more than 100,000 regular users
• BONUS** Experience migrating from REST to > GraphQL
• BONUS** Payments and/or Subscriptions Experience (e.g., Adyen /Zuora)

LOCATION

Our client is based in the North Denver / South Boulder area. They believe deeply in close collaboration, and as such they are looking for candidates who are willing to be on-site 5 days a week, most weeks ... (with flexibility as-needed for family stuff, contractors, doctors, etc)

SALARY

This role is budgeted in the $160,00 - $200,000 salary range, with the lower end for "up and comers" and the higher end for folks who "check every box" :) They also offer strong Health, Dental, and Vision and a 401K with a small match.
