Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Location: Pensacola, FL (Onsite)

Job Type: 6+ Months contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in control systems and automation to support the design, development, and commissioning of equipment in regulated environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable programming Rockwell PLCs and working in cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical systems with integrated controls.

Program and debug Rockwell PLCs (Studio 5000).

Design and evaluate machine safety circuits.

Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and Technicians to improve designs.

Participate in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and control systems.

Create and maintain schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical and hazardous environment standards.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

Experience programming Rockwell PLCs and integrating with mechanical systems.

Strong understanding of safety design and risk assessments.

Experience troubleshooting and commissioning mechanical control systems.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience.

Familiarity with hazardous area design requirements (Class I/Div I or II, ATEX).

Knowledge of pneumatic and electro-mechanical actuation systems.

Experience with validation and FAT/SAT testing.
