With our continued growth we are looking to add a Drafting Engineer to our team! This is a Full-time, Direct Hire, and Benefits eligible position. This person will work with a team and independently to produce submittal drawings to highly detailed working drawings for production. This person needs to be highly motivated, have great communication skills, and have the ability to problem solve while using critical thinking skills.

What will you do?

• Produce detailed shop and submittal drawings in AutoCAD to JA Eisch standards for casework, custom fixtures, and design-build jobs.
• Draw to architect/designer specifications and interpret hand-sketched concepts into engineered drawings.
• Create and maintain drafting programs and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Program WoodWOP files for CNC machining and use screen-to-machine tools for accurate production.
• Take accurate field dimensions for production and verify alignment with job requirements.
• Source and specify all necessary hardware for projects.
• Understand and draft die wall construction details.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, the president, estimator, office manager, and production team to ensure all drawings include necessary information and align with production needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Follow through on missing parts and support production to keep workflows moving smoothly.
• Maintain excellent communication with both the office and production teams.
• Keep work environment clean and organized.
• Participate in a minimum of 40 hours of training or schooling annually (AutoCAD or related), on personal time, with reimbursement per handbook guidelines.
• Demonstrate a continuous drive to improve quality and efficiency.
• Adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events while maintaining productivity.
• Complete all assigned duties using proper tools and equipment.

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with 3D AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Similar program.
• Experience working with Cabinet Vision preferred.
• Must understand layout, design and fabrication concepts with ability to translate into working drawings for production team.
• Ability to read and interpret Architectural blueprints and specifications

Compensation Range:

• $50,000 - $65,000 per year
