SUMMARY:

We are seeking a passionate, customer service and team-oriented Design Consultant for our Design Gallery located in San Antonio, Texas.

We are seeking Design Consultants who will work closely with clients in the showroom and create an individualized design experience that will allow them to personalize their home to their specific tastes and lifestyles. Design Consultants with prior interior design experience with a home builder is desired and should have the ability to multi-task while conversating with clients while entering selections into a computer program.

The primary responsibility of a Design Consultant is to educate and provide professional advice to clients on the appearances and functionality of all interior finish products. Design Consultants must have the ability to guide clients through different selections based on style, quality, and price.

Our ideal Design Consultant will have natural talent and predisposition to design, along with an openness to being trained around skills that will ensure we exceed the expectations of our clients.

OVERVIEW OF YOUR DAILY TASKS:

  • Professional customer service for customers calling and visiting the Design Gallery
  • Assisting clients with making selections to customize their home
  • Entering customer information/selections into computer system
  • Prepare designer selection package that includes drawing details
  • Coordinate with home builder to confirm features, options, and upgrades

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE TO HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Prior design related experience with a home builder
  • 5 years of builder selections and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail oriented, self-disciplined, and organized with focus on excellent follow-up
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to deal with conflict & set expectations
  • Great listening skills and creative problem solving with the ability to provide a solution
  • Must be a team-player with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Effective communication skills and a sense of urgency
  • High level of integrity
  • Good time management skills
